So much in the world around me inspires me to paint. Almost everywhere I look, I see a painting that’s waiting to be done, a moment in time and mood wanting to be recorded.

my biography

While in college I gradually became interested in art courses. I was always drawing and about then started painting. After taking a detour to serve in the Air Force, I returned to college and took more art courses. Then during a career in computers and project management, while raising a family, I would occasionally be able to squeeze in some time to paint. These days I have more time available and have been able to develop and refine my style.

Eventually, I was able to transition into owning a frame shop/ art gallery in Hockessin, Delaware, which I ran for 10 years. I have been juried into many local and national art shows, and have served as a juror. I was also a member and officer on the board of directors of CCarts in Hockessin, Delaware, and today I’m a member of the Chester County Arts Association in West Chester, PA.

my studio

My studio is becoming more of a moveable, wherever spot. But this is the place I come back to whenever there’s a more “serious” work to be done. It’s kind of in the way of things, but that allows me to spend time in a relaxing environment in the house. This easel provides support for me to work on larger pieces.

This was an experiment in plein air painting at the beach, which seems to work- if you can overlook a few grains of sand in the results.
